Lake Ontario Hunter Sailing Association
The year 2000 marked the charter year for the Lake Ontario Hunter Sailing Association (LOHSA). This group of Hunter sailboat owners started when John Vasey inquired on the Hunter Owners Web (HOW) if a group existed. Several of us HOW regulars wrote back that no, there wasn't a group, but since you brought it up............ You know what happened next: John became the first Commodore, and yours truly (Ken Palmer) Vice Commodore.
The year 2007 brings in a new Commodore, Chuck Weidner. The new Vice Commodore is Ben Forrest.
Our goal has been to bring together Hunter owners from the Lake Ontario and surrounding area. This is a large territory to cover, so it was originally decided to have two annual rendezvous' every year, one in Canada and one in the U.S. The U.S. Rendezvous was cancelled in 2006 and 2007, but is on for 2008.
