Welcome to the home of LOHSA. This website marks the beginning of a new Hunter Owners meeting place, as well as a continuation of the original Lake Ontario chapter founded in 2000 at the first Hunter Rendezvous in Rochester, NY.

A reminder that our popular Lake Ontario Angus Rendezvous is coming once again to Port Credit in Mississauga. This year we will be holding this event at the Port Credit Yacht Club. Their website is www.pcyc.net .This is always a great way to meet new Hunter & Jeanneau owners and reacquainte yourselves with old friends. We will have many activities for you to participate in - from educational seminars to Sail With The Experts to casual social and dining events.
Kathy will be sending out the registration form in the next couple of months, so please book this time off and come out and join the festivities. The theme for this year is Hawaiian Luau Party. The attire for this years event is Aloha Beach attire which will be on Saturday night.
A note from the editor. Now is the time to think about applying for a passport if you do not have one. Starting in 2009, you will be required to have a passport when crossing Lake Ontario by personal watercraft. Visit my personal website for more border crossing information by clicking here. To the folks who indicated an interest in attending a south shore LOHSA rendezvous. Please hold the weekend of Aug 15-17 for the planned SSR after an absence of two years. It will once again be held in Sodus Bay (which in my totally unbiased opinion is the best port on the south shore), at SBYC, unless an overwhelming response forces us to move to a new location.
I have RCR Yachts onboard to help us with the logistics and planning, however, we can always use additional volunteer help from folks who live around the Rochester area to help with things such as procurring speakers for seminar topics, or helping with spreading the word around to other yacht clubs. This doesn't have to be a very time-consuming job, just provide a little help so Gerry, Corbo and myself aren't the only ones pulling the whole thing together. If you can spare a little time to help out, please reply back to me and I will get you in the loop. If you have ideas of topics for speakers, or activities you would like to do, please let me know that also. We have a rough framework of events on paper, but nothing in stone yet. I have some ideas for a theme, but if you have any thoughts in that area, please pass them along also. Attention previous and new members: We need to update our membership and mailing list. Please sign-up on the CONTACT page if you haven't aleady done so.
