Welcome

New LOHSA Website is launched!

Time for a change.  The old format was slow and cumbersome to use. It also proved to be lacking features that will be added to the new look.

The change is going to be a "work-in-progress", so it is not complete at this time.  There are links to work out and a whole new set of photo gallery material.  Check back often and please supply feedback by going to the Contact page and send a note to the Webmaster.

On with the show

This website marks a new generation for Lake Ontario Hunter Owners to meet. We are continuing the original Lake Ontario chapter founded in 2000 at the Hunter Rendezvous in Rochester, NY.

A new website design also marks the start of a recruitment campaign for new Hunter sailboat owners on Lake Ontario's two country boundaries. With a membership of over 100, Canada is outpacing U.S. members 10 to 1.

Please help us grow by asking your fellow dock mates that are Hunter owners to sign up for free membership in the Lake Ontario Hunter Sailing Association (LOHSA). Details are on the CONTACT page.

News

Rendezvous Date Has Been Set

Your Commodore sure did work fast on this one.  As you know, we lost our Canadian sponsor, Angus Yachts.  Commodore Carol Krummenacher and LOHSA member John Hosty worked to secure Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26 for our annual rendezvous. The location is at our favorite spot, Credit Village Marina.

This location is a perfect spot for LOHSA.  It will accommodate the entire group in one location, not all spread out like last year.  We have moved the check-in date from Thursday to Friday to make it a little easier on your wallet.

Carol has been in communication with Hunter Marine and with the new Hunter dealer in Toronto,  True North Yachts.

Check back often for further announcements.

Possible South Shore Rendezvous

would you be interested in attending a Hunter Rendezvous on the southern shore of Lake Ontario this August? Take a look at the poster and make your decision known to Commodore Gary Grant. Please make your decision by July 15th.

Looking for sailboats to charter

Member John Hosty is looking for members who may be interested in chartering their boats on a time to time daily basis; a chance for all to make money.
